Ted McLaughlin has led a full and adventurous life. This is his autobiography spanning nine years living on his own for long periods in the mountains of New Zealand's South Island. Travelling on horseback with pack horses and hunting deer on foot, all in the era before the advent of helicopters, Ted has had to survive a lot of close brushes with death which has made him very self reliant.
