This book will take you on a journey from the Barrier Valley in 1951, looking for Moose in Dusky Sound the same year, then on to many trips into the 'Wapiti' area which lies west of Lake Te Anau and further north into South Westland.
Also other trips hunting for Whitetail deer in the Rees Valley, hunting and culling Fallow deer in the Greenstone and Mararoa valleys.
Allan's strong belief that selective hunting of wild animals is the essence of conservation, is being recognised more and more by world-wide wildlife conservation organsations. Allan is also one of the earliest members of the New Zealand Deer Stalkers' Association still alive today.
